Right in the heart of the city

Nestled between two true icons, right in the heart of the city on the Prinsengracht. On one side, you’ll find the Anne Frank House — the place where Anne Frank wrote her world-famous diary. A site of reflection, history, and universal hope, right in the center of Amsterdam. On the other side stands the Westerkerk, an iconic symbol of the city, renowned for its tower (the Westertoren) crowned with the imperial crown. It serves as a major landmark and gained international fame through Anne Frank’s diary, the funeral of Rembrandt, and the royal wedding of Queen Beatrix and Prince Claus. The Westerkerk represents the Dutch Golden Age and Amsterdam’s long-standing spirit of tolerance.
